- ... that Samuel Quincy prosecuted against British soldiers in the Boston Massacre trials and maintained some loyalty with the British? Source: Two weeks later, on 5 March, British soldiers guarding the Customs House fired on a mob of citizens, killing five of them. In the tense and volatile atmosphere produced by these events, Quincy joined Robert Treat Paine as prosecutor both in Richardson’s trial and in the separate trials of the officer and eight enlisted men indicted for the Massacre shootings. ... Subsequently, Quincy, with other leaders of the bar, became objects of royal patronage. + Quincy is best known for his role in the aftermath of the Boston Massacre, where he prosecuted British soldiers, despite a family divide in political allegiance, as his brother Josiah defended the soldiers.
- ALT1: ... that despite his alignment with the British, Samuel Quincy was fondly remembered in exile by U.S. president John Adams? Source: Subsequently, Quincy, with other leaders of the bar, became objects of royal patronage. [and some Loyalist stuff he did] In 1776, upon learning of the damage to Quincy’s Boston house, John Adams wrote, “I wish I could be clear that it is no moral Evil to pity [Quincy] and his Lady…” (letter to Abigail Adams, 14 Apr. 1776). Yet, in the reflective mood of his later years, Adams recalled Quincy as an “easy, social and benevolent Companion, not without Genius, Elegance and Taste” (Adams, Autobiography, 30 Nov. 1804).

- Comment: An extra QPQ myself since the backlog wasn't activated yet.

The article was previously a redirect and has since been substantially expanded into a full article. Earwig found only 9.1% textual similarity, and the required QPQ has been completed. Of the proposed hooks, I find ALT1 the most interesting, although it could be rephrased for better accuracy. Overall, in my opinion, the article is well prepared and ready for use.
