Serious quality/verification issues in history section

There are no citations for the entirety of the history section of this article currently, and the paragraph on the car's speed record really should be rewritten with proper sources. It looks like many of the claims within that section are unfounded and potentially vandalised upon looking at the version history? This is a reasonably important thing to revise given there are claims that this car held a production speed record, and also that there is just this random unsourced claim regarding a different speed record for the McLaren F1. 59.167.239.92 (talk) 10:48, 15 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

You're absolutely right, I removed all of the performance claims until they can be backed up with proper citations. It sounds to me like someone may have mixed up the CTR and CTR2 top speeds. TKOIII (talk) 16:34, 15 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
