Is the review section too hyper-focused on the yuri fanserves in the show?

I know this is the elephant in the room, but is it just me that feels like the review section is focusing too much on the yuri fanservice and the assets that go into it? Erika's opinion here is entirely relevant and informative, even though her review is based on only two episodes and she only really covers a couple of scenes and the general premise of the series. This show is basically a "how much can you lift" show about rock music and a bigger all-female setting, but I don't remember reviews of that anime being so fixated on fanservice imaginary scenes. Also, we have once again built our entire section during whole season around initial reviews of the first episodes, which essentially just describe first impressions and pure expectations of the show instead of describing it in its entirety. You have a fair point but I think this could only be addressed if we had other reviews, either from Steve Jones (who is already cited) plus...

• Follow-up postings on Anime Feminist here and here on the series

• Hi! Thanks for the links to the reviews, I checked them out. It seems most reviewers didn't quite get that the original was a satire on Class S/classic shoujo archetypes, taking the show as a dead-on deconstruction of gender or even sexual norms without any irony. The latter especially in Paste and ANN, who don't seem to understand that this is a trolling of the oujo-sama archetype and works like MariMite, rather than an attempt to prove a point, given that in modern anime such tropes are more associated with sexually charged yuri than vice versa. So we'll have to work with this. In order to avoid repeating the same thing in different words several times, I suggest making several paragraphs and summarizing it there in the spirit of "reviewers found the series challenging gender norms, in particular source A and source B noted such and such scenes/ideas in the show." This will save us a lot of time, plus we'll be able to describe everything concisely and neutrally, without making big specific quotes. How do you like it? • From what I've read, most Western media agree that it's challenges gender norms, queer-coded (different sources go to different lengths with this, from homoerotic tension ans subtext to outright statements about some romance and attraction), and musically stunning.
