Just wanted to clarify for anyone reading through this draft that Robert Burdick does meet both the WP:NPOL as he was the Deputy to the Rhode Island General Assembly (then called the Rhode Island General Court) as well as WP:RELPEOPLE because he was a Deacon for the Seventh Day Baptist Church located in Westerly, Rhode Island. Burdick was also involved in a legal territorial disputewith William Chesebrough of the Massachusetts Bay Colony which was one of the first major land trials of the colony. Lastly, Burdick was one of the 26 original settlers of Westerly, Rhode Island and Southerntowne (later called Stonington), other notable inhabitants include both John Crandall and Tobias Saunders who knew Burdick and are constantly listed as companions in several of the sources on the page. Hi Theroadislong,

Thanks for your review comments on the Robert Burdick draft. You were correct—the first draft was weighted toward genealogical context. I have rewritten much of the article to rectify that.

Here are the highlights:

The lead has been reorganized to present the 1661 boundary case as a pivotal example of Rhode Island defending the rights of its charter instead of leading with birth and family facts
All children have been removed from the infobox, as have the noble family context material (Baron Howth, Burdett baronets, coat of arms)
The genealogical compilations (Cutter, Willard) have been dropped in favor of the primary source (Bartlett's Records of the Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations) which includes the trial transcript and list of public service as a politician
The list of families that his children married into has been truncated
Sections have been reorganized to lead with the colonial history more than personal biography

The article now centers on:

The dispute over jurisdiction, which led to a year in prison as an inter-colonial diplomatic incident
His political service in the General Court
His involvement in the organizational history of the early Seventh Day Baptists
