Hello all.

This constitutes my first-ever article on Wikipedia. I've already edited a number of articles, but my inexperience at actually writing them may make this entry flawed. I invite rigorous editing from the community.

This article is basically a stub. It needs more meat.

My bibliography of Cortez's works is probably flawed, and I have failed, so far, to include a section on her career.
