I suppose for the same reason lots of people emigrated to the US in the nineteenth century, economic opportunity. If there is any other reason I suppose this would have been documented in one of his biographies, but I do not have any copies of them. --Scarpe (talk) 09:08, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
