Examples of resort towns

I was thinking we don't need more then 5-10 examples period. This has become a list of all resort towns. I have been watching them get added but don't have a good idea other then removing most of them and putting the removed content into a list. Vegaswikian (talk) 17:51, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

This has gotten out of hand and now we are left with an indiscriminate and arbitrary list of towns. I have edited down to 12 towns with a citation for each showing it is referred to as a ‘resort town’. I think any future additions should have an accompanying reference and a justification to include it here so the list doesn’t grow out of control. Zarcadia (talk) 21:25, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

In the article missing a few resort places with a global reputation, for example: Gibraltar, Monaco (including Monte Carlo), Yalta, Dubrovnik, Benidorm, Ibiza, Guam, Santa Monica, California, Miami Beach, Aspen and some other. Number one, the list could be put into a separate article.

Number two, some of the cities could probably be consolidated if theyre in the same area and really close. Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg, while three separate cities, are so close to each other, that most tourist guides include all three cities together. Even if a tourist is staying in Pigeon Forge for instance, they could easily get to the other two cities in fifteen minutes or less. Hurricane Clyde 🌀^{my talk page!} 06:49, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
