Notability

[edit]

I have moved this page to draft space until it has enough review coverage to meet WP:NFILM Filmforme (talk) 18:29, 28 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

New media coverage has been added. Please move draft to article. Thank you. Moviebuffguy408 (talk) 18:48, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Moviebuffguy408 I don't see reviews available yet. The first bullet point at WP:NFO says it needs at least two reliably sourced reviews to meet the WP:GNG for released films. –Filmforme (talk) 19:37, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Does it not already meet General Notability? "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article or stand-alone list."
The reviews are only required if it doesn't meet General Notability, which is why it is under "Other evidence of notability" Moviebuffguy408 (talk) 07:59, 6 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
And also, the film has premiered nationwide in Regal movie theatres. This should be grounds already for General Notability. Moviebuffguy408 (talk) 08:13, 6 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Moviebuffguy408 The tv interviews are not independent because someone from the production is talking about the movie they are involved with. The reliability of this source is WP:QUESTIONABLE because it lacks editorial oversight and it is hosted by WP:WORDPRESS. The Philippine Daily Inquirer you added seems okay, though some may say it is a lightly reworded WP:PRSOURCE. A limited theatrical release does not make a film inherently notable, though it's not unexpected for review coverage to exist because of it.
The sources so far are acceptable for stating facts, but they don't help contribute to the film's notability. Small indie films typically aren't notable prior to release and generally require a critical reception and analysis of two or more reviews after release to be considered for a standalone page on Wikipedia.
As it is, it would not get approved if submitted to WP:AFC and it would very likely get nominated for deletion at WP:AFD if it is moved to mainspace in its current state. I've got my eye on this draft too so I'll keep an eye out for new coverage. –Filmforme (talk) 09:40, 6 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
