Suggestion for Speedy Deletion
[edit]This page does not seem to meet the criteria for notablitiy lined out in the notability criteria for people. It meets speedy deletion criterion A7. Two of the three sources are employee biographies at the subjects employers, usually written by the employee themselves. The last is an announcement of his hiring. Most references to his work are vague and also do not meet the criteria for notablitiy. Having been "featured in national and local newspapers, radio and television" and having published "numerous books" does not meet WP:NBIO standards. To be frank, the article reads like it was written by the subject or someone closely connected to him (cf. WP:OWNSITE). 131.111.120.42 (talk) 16:19, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
- @131.111.120.42 - WP:CSD#A7 is not the same as WP:Notability. A7 requires that the article not "indicate why its subject is important or significant....This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability....The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source or does not qualify on Wikipedia's notability guidelines." If you are concerned about notability, then you can propose its deletion at AFD. — ERcheck (talk) 03:19, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
