Speculation

[edit]

This is just a speculation:

The historian Dirk Kolff has queried whether the Kaimkhani have Turkbachcha origins

The larger version of the article, most of which has been removed, had information that appears to have been largely reliable based on the information I have seen.

I will create an article on Kyamkhan Ras and Nainsi Ri Khyat in the next few months. Malaiya (talk) 01:03, 14 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

For some details on the two historical texts see

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. JTP (talkcontribs) 05:10, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • What I think should be changed
Languages Urdu, Sindhi, Rajasthani.
+
Languages Urdu, Sindhi, Rajasthani, Qaimkhani Boli.
  • Why it should be changed: It is the native dialect of the Qaimkhani community.
  • References: https://sujo.usindh.edu.pk/index.php/TAHQIQ/article/view/2616/2012, on pages 1 "Later on his descendents and boli (dialect) inherited this term." and page 6 that after the partition, the dialect became attributed to the Qaimkhanis and was called 'Qaimkhani Boli'.

  • What I think should be changed
Qaimkhani (also spelled Qayam Khani, Kayamkhani or as Kaimkhani) is a Muslim community of India.
+
Qaimkhani (also spelled Qayam Khani, Kayamkhani or as Kaimkhani) is a Muslim community of India and Pakistan.
  • Why it should be changed: The Qaimkhani people are significant in both countries, more so in Pakistan. Saying they are only a community in India is slightly misleading. It is true they originated in India, but the sentence does not seem to state if it is talking about origins.
  • References: The Wikipedia article itself states "Most of them migrated to Pakistan". This means they are mostly in Pakistan, and therefore they are a Pakistani Muslim community too.
