[edit]This is one of the more ridiculous maps on Wikipedia. The starting point is that it has no date attached, whereas in fact the distribution of tribes on the island and, more especially the hegemony of one over others, was very dynamic. To suggest a common ethnicity for Northumbrians, Kentish men and West Cymry is ludicrous. Dalriadans are shown - yet what evidence is there that they were not "Britons" or "Cruithin"? None. So too with what the artist supposes to be "Pictland" (I presume). Let us suppose that this map is meant to date to 200 (the earliest conceivable date for Dalriada). At this point there were no "Picts" at all. And what about the Parisi? They were already entrenched on the North bank of the Humber by the time the Romans arrived 150 years earlier....
