[edit]Are chromic acid and dichromic acid really alternative names for potassium dichromate? I would have expected the acids to contain hydrogen instead of potassium, but ref 1 from the US EPA supports the article text, so I'll invite someone more knowledgeable to boldly remove them from the list of synonyms. - im new to Wikipedia, have used it for months learning about random chemistry things and wanted to help with random pages, would this be a good source to cite where it says heating causes decomposition with oxygen release? https://www2.atmos.umd.edu/~russ/MSDS/potassium_dichromate.htm Thirstylearner2398 (talk) 17:42, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
