The New Hamburg Independent citation contains some language which implies that Scott and Aronoff might be a couple ("'We were just leaving for Greece when we were shortlisted, so it was not really on our minds while travelling,' said Aronoff. 'Howard got an email early in the morning (announcing the winner), and I woke up to his huge smile'"), and they very frequently (although not absolutely always) work together as a duo, but I have not been able to find any source which confirms that.
