For Solo in Soho discogs says Vertigo (with images of the label). But for The Philip Lynott Album discogs does indeed say Virgin (with images of the label). But discogs.com is not recognised as WP:RS, so some other source(s) would be needed. Martinevans123 (talk) 15:12, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

Racism at school

The Early life section currently reads as follows:

Lynott believed he was different from his peers at school, but did not suffer any major racist attacks.

Lynott first attended school in Moss Side, Manchester. In 1957, due to accounts of racism and Lynott being mixed race...

I appreciate a summation of childhood experiences isn't easy but to immediately contradict the statement above is poor, I also think the phrase "due to accounts of racism" is ambiguous. Did he leave due to personal experiences or "accounts" of other experiences?

The first sentence is also sourced while the second is not, does anyone know more about Lynotts time in Manchester? If not I would favour deleting the second sentence. 80.229.242.178 (talk) 19:41, 9 March 2025 (UTC)

I think we'd need to see what's on page 16 of Thomson (2016). The online edition linked to is non-preview. But I'm not sure there's any contradiction there - primary school (at Armagh Road CBS) is likely to have been a very different experience to secondary school (at Moss Side)? "Origin" Necessary?

Having Born, Origin and Died in the infobox feels a bit odd. What is Origin adding that Born doesn't? On top of no other member having it. Purplemontart (talk) 10:45, 29 July 2025 (UTC)

From the template advice, the origin field should show: "the place where ... the individual performer started their career, should it not match the location of their birth". I've restored it. Bretonbanquet (talk) 21:17, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
