Phillip M. Landrum → Phil Landrum – per WP:COMMONNAME. Landrum was overwhelmingly known as "Phil Landrum," not "Phillip M. Landrum." a Newspapers.com search from 1946 to 1990 (the years he was active in public life) shows 10,334 results for "Phil Landrum"; 3,127 results for "Phil M. Landrum"; 356 results for "Phillip Landrum"; and 125 results for "Phillip M. Landrum." thus, per WP:COMMONNAME, "Phil Landrum" is the name that is most commonly used (as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable, English-language sources).
