Government infobox discussion

[edit]

I think there needs to be some sort of split between the first two phases of the military dictatorship as the first phase implemented left-leaning policies and the second phase reversed those policies. The policies of the forst phase are described im the body; "Velasco's administration articulated a desire to give justice to the poor through a regime of nationalization known as Peruanismo." A solution I have for this problem is something like this:

Unitary presidential republic under a Peruanist military dictatorship (1968–1975)

Unitary presidential republic under a military dictatorship ErickTheMerrick (talk) 02:18, 22 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

The level of detail proposed for this parameter is not appropriate, per MOS:IBP; details should be explored in the article body. Nikkimaria (talk) 04:29, 9 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
I have simplified it now to mo longer break WP:IBP. It is fine now. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 04:30, 9 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
No, it was fine before. The new proposal continues to add misplaced detail. Nikkimaria (talk) 04:33, 9 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
What details? Do explain before just reverting my edits next time. It is very annoying to deal with. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 04:16, 12 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
The different forms of government between the two phases should be in the infobox. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 04:18, 12 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
No, they shouldn't. The single overarching form is sufficient detail for that context. Nikkimaria (talk) 02:03, 13 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
It is not. One was a corporatist regime while the other was not. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 06:47, 14 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Given that this claim does not appear in the article body at all, it clearly does not warrant inclusion here per MOS:IBP. And as a reminder, while information must be verifiable for inclusion in an article, not all verifiable information must be included", and the responsibility for achieving consensus for inclusion is on those seeking to include disputed content. Nikkimaria (talk) 00:07, 15 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Nikkimaria, I included the claim in the body so it should now be included. ErickTheMerrick (talk) 00:36, 5 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
In the “First Phase” section ErickTheMerrick (talk) 00:36, 5 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
While I appreciate your efforts, I don't agree that this warrants doubling the description. Nikkimaria (talk) 00:38, 5 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
