This article has a verbose and bombastic tone

Much of this article is overly complicated, repetitively written and full of anachronistic phrasing such as in the section entitled Wensleydale Peerage Case (1856) the opening paragraph begins with "the House of Lords grew from the antediluvian authority of the Curia Regis".

That's not plain, simple English. It's waffle and pompous waffle, too!
