Adding a History section

[edit]

Hello, I'm a representative of Early Warning Services, Paze's parent company. To build out this page a bit, I'd like to suggest the addition of a History section. I've done some research and cobbled together a draft that I think summarizes the establishment and evolution of the service over the past few years. I invite independent editors to take a look:

I see this History section as step one of an effort to add well-sourced content to the article and reorganize it. I'm currently working on a short Service section draft that describes precisely how Paze functions. But anyway, I don't want to get too far ahead of myself! Thank you in advance to any editors who donate their time to reviewing my request. EB at EW (talk) 19:32, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Note: I dont want to deny this request without a second opinion because it's not overtly promotional, and it's sourced, but some parts of it feel like its wp:PROMOTIONAL and has wp:UNDUE weight. Specifically, areas about sponsorships and advertising campaigns feel like undue weight, and the entire portion regarding NYCFC. Also, generally, promotional language such as "unveiled" and "starring".
Lastly, I'm skeptical of Digital Transactions as a source. Their media kit has this gem: Sponsored Content is a 500 word story you write. We place the story on our Web. It looks like the other stories that are being posted every day from our editorial staff. It goes on to mention a sponsored banner, but "Looks like the other stories that are being posted" isn't exactly confidence inducing.
Also, the content cited from Digital Transactions looks like regurgitated press releases. Even setting aside the publisher, the two digital transaction articles are single source company statements/interviews with little to no commentary or verification. - Otherwise (Antibacklog Aktion!) I fully concur with Mustbeotherwise's analysis. This request is promotional. There is no need for the article to mention all of Paze's clients or business partners, yet this request namedrops more than ten of them, which is clearly an attempt to boost Paze's profile. And great detective work looking into Digital Transactions; WP:NEWSORG warns against churnalism, and those concerns are definitely salient with what you found in that media kit. EB at EW, we appreciate your suggested edits, but I must decline this request. Altamel (talk) 03:34, 31 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
