ISBN

[edit]

I amended the ISBN for the book authored by George Copeland and Ronald Dethlefson that was flagged in the article (for incorrect length). Wikipedia appears to continue not to like the corrected one. (I just checked). It is however, liked by The Stanford University Libraries webpage, so I haven't a clue what else to do. In exasperation... Fylbecatulous talk 13:31, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to that book to double check the number. Sorry :\ ThemFromSpace 19:59, 31 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Example for Catalog / Record Numbers

[edit]

The image shown as an example has marking on it that are false.

The smaller number in the lower middle of the label is an early "record number" or serial number (of the pressing, not of the recording) while the codes present in the circular description usually show the recording cylinder number ("master cylinder") as those denote recordings made on cylinders and then transferred to disc.

Whoever put this there must've mixed up their terms. My suggestion: remove that image and just show an example of a record without label, one with label, and a later Pathé diamond serial record. ~2026-30928-11 (talk) 19:05, 23 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

That is what makes this article confusing, it goes back and forth between the US branch and original Pathe company but since it's written for an English speaker, it uses an early US label for the info-box image. Benjamin.P.L (talk) 03:44, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
