Instruments

[edit]

The claim that no instruments survive to the present day is suspect. This news article (in Finnish), while talking mostly about a newly-found dulcian, also mentions that conservator Aki Arponen of the Finnish National Board of Antiquities recently visited the central storage of the Finnish National Museum and found "a pantalon, a predecessor of the hammerklavier (hammered dulcimer) from around 1750. There are in total about four similar instruments left in the world." Klehti (talk) 14:56, 6 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Photo

[edit]

Why does the photo in the current version of this article not look like a hammered dulcimer, but instead looks like a clavichord sitting on top of a harpsichord? 98.123.38.211 (talk) 01:30, 21 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
