POV of Article

I'm sure great effort was expended trying to make the article NPOV; but the author still makes it sound like he's sorry Batista lost.

Implicit bias

I am reading the beginning of this article and cannot help but notice how the author of it says things like how some things are bad decisions. It is not up to the author to say things like that, and I can see that a previous message posted to this article also points out similar issues. I am tempted to remove any biased statements favorable to either size. This article reads like an essay was copied and pasted and made a Wikipedia article. While I do mostly agree with you on the general sentiment about the article, I would argue that Batista made many decisions that hurt his chances of winning greatly (in other words, bad decisions,) during and preceding Operation Verano. I don't really see why the author should not say things like this or why this would be seen as biased in either direction. CandleWhick (talk) 05:34, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Discrepancies within the Info-Box

There is a discrepancy between the number of revolutionaries killed in the info-box (27) and the minimum number mentioned in the article (more than 70 + 6 others). This needs to be addressed. CandleWhick (talk) 02:35, 18 March 2026 (UTC)

There is also a discrepancy between the number of Governmental soldiers in the main wikipedia article for the Cuban Revolution of around 2000 soldiers. While the exact number may not be known, the rough estimate or range should match between both articles for consistency. CandleWhick (talk) 05:19, 27 March 2026 (UTC)

Through further looking it would appear that twelve thousand is the general historical consensus and so I will soon change that in the main Cuban article

Edits to the Info-Box

I made recent changes to the info-box, including adding two leaders who don't have any wikipedia page. Since the summary has a character limit, here is why they are included those two obscure leaders. Major Jose Quevedo was a Major for the Cuban army before Castro realised they came from the same school and he organised a cease fire and they talked and then Quevedo joined Castro and the source I looked at claimed Quevedo told his 142 men to join the revolutionaries but it is unclear if they did, if so, Castro's, military might have increased by 50% so it might be worth mentioning in the article. I did not know how to handle this man in terms of where to put him so I put him with the revolutionaries but with a Cuban Government Flag, this is quite confusing so its definitely not great but I don't particularly know how to make it better. Colonel Sanchez Mosquera had 1000 men under his control and was surrounded by the Fidelistas who "decimated Mosquera's forces" (https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/pdfs/ADA156114.pdf. pg. 27, pdf pg. 35).

Citation Needed

Someone has put numerous citation needed citations throughout the article and, upon looking into it, I believe the original authour wrote the article from one source and all of the facts are from it. Therefore we either choose to get rid of the citation needed and potentially instil distrust in our readers or, at every point someone marked citation needed, we fill it in with the correct source which has the potential to clutter up the article. Since I am new to wikipedia editing, I am unfamiliar with the proper action that should be taken and would love some help. If no contact is made in a few days I will make up my mind and do something.
