What happens to them

[edit]

This article doesn't mention the characters eventual fate.

what evidence is there that this was based on true events? 81.145.240.130 00:08, 30 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

In Germany the movie ist not called Adrift, but also Open Water 2.

Great addition Antjrice, never thought about the "supernatural" aspect. Mlonguin 16:15, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Director Hans Horn does not yet have an article in Wikipedia. the link to Hans Horn, leads to an article about a Norwegian ski jumper by the same name Pelegisrael 04:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

true story?

[edit]

so is it based upon true story? can we read the true story? 109.67.204.198 (talk) 11:15, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

It is not actually based on a true event. Subcelestial (talk) 23:09, 26 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
There are however real events like it mentioned in this book: http://www.amazon.de/Yachtunf%C3%A4lle-Und-wie-vermeiden-kann/dp/3892253668 81.225.216.159 (talk) 00:20, 27 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

what truly happen to them after that or does any one know what happen to them — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.141.34.186 (talk) 19:59, 27 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

After watching the movie, I felt that Dan deliberately stabbed Zach. This was evidenced by Dan's guilt. He said "Jesus Christ, I killed him" several times. Also, it was clear that Dan had, I'll say, psychological problems that were never dealt with prior to this traumatic experience.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Stevensew5 (talkcontribs) 15:27, 6 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's a long time (12 years) since I saw the film, but I seem to remember that Dan, who was pretending to be rich and successful to impress his college buddies, confesses that the boat isn't really his - he "borrowed" it off his boss for the weekend without telling him. That is why he freaks out when his friend starts sticking his knife in the side.Paulturtle (talk) 23:21, 29 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

unclear wording

[edit]

This sentence is a little unclear. I think perhaps it could be trying to say that the script for OW2:A(2006) was written before OW(2003) was released, but maybe it's trying to say something else.

The film has no connection to Open Water (2003) and the script had been written before it was theatrically released.

  • "the script" for which movie, Open Water (2003) or Open Water 2: Adrift (2006)?
  • "it" was theatrically released, which "it"? Open Water (2003) or Open Water 2: Adrift (2006)?
