Dead?

[edit]

The sole "External Link" (http://opengamingalliance.org) is "403 Forbidden", and a quick review indicates no news for this Alliance since 2016.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Djradon (talkcontribs) 05:28, 30 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Major Edit Explanation

[edit]

The LinkedIn page is no longer active, and the Twitter/X account has been deleted — only mentions of it remain in tweets from 2015.

PitchBook indicates they may have been acquired in 2018.

As much as I want to find a source to confirm either continued activity in the past seven years or formal dissolution, I’ve been unable to do so. It truly appears that this project/organization is either defunct or in hibernation.

I decided that changing the tense and adding mention of their inactive website was a reasonable way to signal that this may no longer be an active project, without definitively stating “this is a dissolved organization,” since I cannot prove that conclusively.

I did not move all members to the “former members” section, as I believe the existing information still holds value — especially if the organization re-emerges at some point.

If there are concerns with these changes, I kindly ask that the edit not be fully reverted. Some of the updates I made feel necessary and include the following:

Removed ref: [1]

This has nothing at all to do with the subject the article is on, and is a blog type review on motherboards.

Added Dead Link tag to dead official website

Added Last working archive of said official website

Please let me know if this was too substantial a change to make without prior discussion on the talk page. However, the page is clearly outdated and appears to be neglected — much like the subject itself.
