Request to update education content
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi editors, as a part of my work with Beutler Ink on behalf of Oleg Chirkunov, I would like to propose updates to the article. My goal is to fill in gaps and expand the article where appropriate, so that it's a stronger biographical article overall. For the first request, I'd like to suggest an updated Early life section:

Education
Chirkunov graduated from Perm Polytechnic Institute in 1981 with a specialization in Economics and Organization of the Mechanical Engineering Industry.[1] He received a degree from the Higher School of the KGB in 1985, after which he served in the KGB until the dissolution of the Soviet Union.[2][3][4] He subsequently graduated from the Law Department of Perm State University in 1988. He received his PhD in economics in 1990.[4] References

This new section replaces the heading Early life with Education, since that is the specific focus of the content. It also adds information about what he studied and his undergraduate degree. Let me know what you think! Thanks, Danilo Two (talk) 18:50, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
Done. --Altenmann >talk 19:56, 3 August 2026 (UTC)

Updates to Career
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. |
Hi editors, I have another request on behalf of Oleg Chirkunov, this time to update the Career section. I would like to propose a subsection to replace the first two sentences of the existing Career section to reorganize and expand on his work before he became governor of Perm, something like Entrepreneurship or Business. Following this request, I plan to continue to propose content for his early political career, time as governor, and then his post-political career.

Business
Chirkunov was sent to Switzerland as an expert with the Russian trade commission from 1991 to 1994.[1][2] Chirkunov worked in wholesale food distribution in Europe.[3] He founded the Semya supermarket chain. In an interview, he reported they were the first to bring Nestle and Kinder Surprise products to Russia.[3][4][5] References

Let me know if you have any feedback! Thanks, Danilo Two (talk) 20:03, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
Not done. YOur text was incorrect. Also "nestle" is non-encyclopedic trivia. I wrote something else instead. By the way please take a look how to format refs from sussian sources: you ave to use fields "tiete" and "trans-title". Please pay more attention to what is written in sources you cite. Also, so not do what is called WP:REFBOMBING.Three footnotes to a srivial sentence is an overkill. --Altenmann >talk 20:48, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback, and for making your adjustments to the article. I'll be sure to take your feedback into consideration for my future requests. Danilo Two (talk) 16:05, 6 August 2026 (UTC)
