To (as stated in the correct Swedish description): "In 1968, the Sveriges Riksbank (Sweden's central bank) established the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, which is often associated with the Nobel Prize. This prize was first awarded in 1969. Although it is not officially a Nobel Prize, its announcement and awarding have been made together with the other prizes." 1) It is a prize, 2) it is named after Nobel. Therefore, it is a Nobel Prize. Whether it is a part of the larger group of Nobel Prizes is a separate question. However, since (as you mention) it is announced and awarded alongside the other prizes, I don't see how anyone can seriously maintain that it is separate. So, if a prize was named after me it wouldn't be a Khajidha Prize? BULLSHIT. Any prize named after a person is a [NAME} Prize. That's how English works. Updated prize amount for 2026

The article lists the USD equivalent to the 11,000,000 krona as $1,035,000. However, ~$1,185,000 would be the accurate figure in 2026, based on the newest inflation figures. I see no reason why this figure shouldn't be updated for 2026. Babars23 (talk) 15:51, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
