This article has some serious issues, like lack of content. There's one equation, though it's scattered into three parts. There's no mention or symbolic representation of self-inductance in the article. Derivation belongs in a math textbook, not the encyclopedia. We can't have an article like this; it's akin to a definition that goes in a dictionary, but this kind of definition will be found only in a mathematical or electrical engineering lexicon. It needs to be merged somewhere, maybe into inductance? I don't even know were to begin. Sbalfour (talk) 23:58, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
