Update needed to match current research
[edit]This article contains outdated information regarding the classification of Nephilidae. The current consensus of the WSC (see N.B.) classifies Nephilidae as a sub-family of Araneidae, supported by Scharff et al., 2020, Kallal et al., 2020, and Hormiga et al., 2023.
These sources should be added, and the article updated, as appropriate. Citation 7 and any other redundant sources should be considered for removal and their references updated as required.
As I am currently unable to update the article in full, I will add an Update tag to the main page, which will link to this topic.
