Terrorist attack ?
[edit]This is not a terrorist attack. Ari Fuld was clearly a soldier, not a civilian. Si Gam (talk) 13:46, 23 October 2023 (UTC)
- Ari Fuld was a terrorist. 87.200.114.233 (talk) 15:21, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- What you are saying is absolutely absurd and factually distorted. Ari Fuld was not in uniform, and the man (i.e. terrorist) stabbed him in the back and ran away. No motivation to stab a soldier, no motivation for robbery, simply done for no other reason but to terrorize a civilian. If this isn't terrorism, then you are essentially saying this word doesn't exist. Accipio Mitis Frux (talk) 08:22, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
Facebook post says the killer has been released
[edit]fb dropped the link on me. Sorry 2600:100A:B032:DAC1:83C:76FF:FE9B:C069 (talk) 15:44, 22 January 2025 (UTC)

Clear idealogical use of the word terrorist in description of the killer. Remove. ~2026-29257-54 (talk) 16:27, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- How on earth do you define "terrorist" if not someone that stabs civilians on behalf of terror organizations? Accipio Mitis Frux (talk) 20:12, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
Done This is a controversial request inside the WP:CT/A-I area so it would be entirely within my discretion to procedurally decline this but I happen to agree with it. We don't call him a terrorist in wikivoice in the lead so it doesn't make sense why we would do so later. We include multiple attributed statements calling him a terrorist later so it can't really be said that this breaks WP:NPOV due to the removal causing the view that it was terrorism to not being presented. It's still got plenty of prominence in the article. ⹃Maltazarian ᚾparleyinvestigateᛅ 18:57, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Lisa, since you made these edits in two articles, I would like to note here, where the talk page discussion already exists, that MOS:TERRORIST says that this label is ‘best avoided unless widely used by reliable sources to describe the subject’. This is clearly not the case here, since more neutral sources outside of Israel do not use the label in their own voice (Newsweek, WashPost only in title outside of quotes, BBC only quoting). stjn 19:55, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- Regardless of the propriety/impropriety of using the word "terrorist," right now the section makes no sense, given that it doesn't explain what happened to Ari that caused Hillel to become more active in politics. It's like saying that MLK was simply "shot," or that Archduke Franz Ferdinand "died," without explaining any of the political situation that is 100% relevant. I think it is quite obvious that you are just importing your OWN political bias in rewriting it in the non-neutral form it is in now. However, I absolutely don't want to get involved in an editing war between 2 people of wildly different political persuasions trying to spread an ideology through edits. - I am an idiot and I posted this in the wrong Talk section. Sorry I am a newbie. HeidiRommel (talk) 19:33, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- No worries, but you should be aware that we have restrictions on topics related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. You can view them here: WP:CT/A-I. It's the most restrictive part of the Wiki because it's subject to incredibly high amounts of disruption that we simply don't have the volunteer resources to deal with using standard methods. ⹃Maltazarian ᚾparleyinvestigateᛅ 04:58, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks. I hadn't seen that before. I used to be a hardcore editor on this site, but it was taking over my life, so I changed the password to both my account here and the email account that I used to sign up, essentially keeping me from ever accessing it again. It worked for 14 years, alas... HeidiRommel (talk) 19:15, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
