The article appears to present an extremely positive view of Muhammad Anwar Khan, often going off-topic to emphasize alleged achievements, such as how anyone under his command supposedly excelled to the top of their class, or how he could allegedly bowl faster than much younger individuals. The article repeatedly uses language like “excelled,” “par-excellence,” “of international repute,” “the ‘Pakistan feeling’ was so strong and overwhelming…,” “Success,” “rose to the challenge,” and many more. Quoting all of these would be excessive, but the overall tone is promotional rather than neutral.

There is extensive use of phrases such as “It was reported a few years ago that…” without any inline citations, and the article relies on only a single generic reference for its entire content. I attempted to locate that reference online but it has proven extremely difficult. I did, however, find a “Mohammad Anwar Khan” in the Indian Army List, July 1940, though he is listed as a Lieutenant. The information on it doesn't line up with the article and has some mismatched dates, so given that it's an extremely common name for the time period, and using it without a confirmed source would be WP:OR anyway, I can't really work with it.

I also checked the sources listed in “Further Reading”:

Akbar Khan, a biography, Khalid Akbar, 2006 — mentions “brothers” in passing (e.g., for Anwar’s brother Iftikhar: “Out of General Anwar’s nine brothers, three brothers chose civilian careers…”) but contains no mention of Muhammad Anwar Khan by name, nor any of the career details in the article.
Pakistan’s Drift into Extremism, Hassan Abbas, 2005 — I found no mention of Muhammad Anwar Khan.
Pakistani Generals (1992) — could not locate this book at all despite extensive searching or confirm its existence.

Other online sources that appear to reference him simply mirror the Wikipedia article, which is circular and not independently reliable. The only reference I could find was through DefenceJournal which confirmed he was the brother of Mohammad Akbar Khan, and very little else.

There is also weasel wording throughout the article, such as phrases like “The big task…” that are vague and promotional.

With this in mind, I'm recommending the article for cleanup, and will try to find sources the best I can to support what information is there. However the vast majority of the article is unsupported in any way shape or form by the current set of reference.
