What does "0 ± 3,000 years ago" mean? In normal mathematical notation it means "between 3000 years ago (975 BCE) and 3000 years in the future (4025 CE)". In several languages "plus minus" means "more or less" or "approximately" - followed by a numeric value. I suspect it means "roughly 3000 years ago (975 BCE)".
