Request to Update Academic Status, Career Milestones, and Portrait (2016–2026)
[edit]I have a conflict of interest (COI) as I am the subject of this article. I am requesting an independent editor to add significant, verified milestones from my academic and artistic career, and to update my outdated infobox photograph.
Please consider integrating the following updates into the article:
- In 2016, Weiss's film and sound installation Wrath was featured in the international video art survey "Fireflies in the Night Take Wing" at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens, Greece, directed by Robert Storr.
- In 2021, Weiss was promoted to Full Professor of Art at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, Washington University in St. Louis, where she has taught since 2011.
- In 2021, the Centre of Polish Sculpture published a major monograph on Weiss's work, featuring essays by art historian Griselda Pollock and a curator from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Mark McDonald.
- In 2021, Weiss was featured in The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s "Artists on Artworks" series, where she contributed a 30-minute film discussing the work of Francisco Goya and her own transdisciplinary art practice.
- In 2022, Weiss participated in the historical survey of Polish feminist art, Sleepless in Warsaw, at A.I.R. Gallery in New York City, which was reviewed in ARTnews and highlighted the role of sound in her feminist art practice.

- In 2023, Weiss was named an artist grantee of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
- Weiss's long-term public sound sculpture project, Metamorphosis (and its permanent sister installation Metamorphosis - Przemiana), consists of outdoor sonic sculpture dedicated to victims of gender-based violence. The project features multichannel audio compositions and related live, site-specific vocal performances and choreography in public parks.
