I have added 2 more secondary sources to establish more notability to Margaret Romans. Are there currently enough sources on the article to establish notability to remove the notability tag? PrezDough (talk) 07:56, 30 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Adding multiple sources from before her notability (becoming oldest living Canadian) and multiple sources that mention becoming the oldest and subsequent birthdays does not justify an article if there is no worthwhile content beyond verification of her age. There isn't. Won't be on List of the verified oldest people for at least a year and won't become oldest ever Canadian for another 4. There's not even enough worthwhile encyclopedic content for a mini-bio at List of Canadian supercentenarians. DerbyCountyinNZ ^{(Talk Contribs)} 22:11, 15 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Being covered for her age before she was the oldest Canadian and her getting that title sounds like 2 different events to me there is also a source covering the YMCA she worked at which was way before either of those 2 things Steven547 (talk) 22:30, 15 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of unnecessary trivia and excessive "facts

I would like to see Romans' article a little less packed with irrelevant and unnecessary facts. I have attempted this on multiple occasions, however, an extremely arrogant editor insists on reverting edits and reverts which have been made by much more experienced users. Not sure how the date she was baptized is an irrelevant fact thats a pretty important life event and its ironic that you call me arrogant when the only thing im asking for is a discussion on this while you were the one blindly engaging in a edit war.Steven547 (talk) 22:13, 15 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

@MattSucci edits being reverted isnt a consensus explain how her baptism is just "trival" I will admit what her parents did for work doesnt really matter but a baptism is an important life event for most people Steven547 (talk) 22:40, 15 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
