• A nice article on a very delicious cookie. Some comments:
  • 5x expansion qualifies and article is long enough.
  • QPQ has been done.
  • Copyediting is needed to smooth out what I'm guessing is translation clunkiness. (For example, According to recommendations, maple cookies go well with hot chocolate or cider , both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I'm guessing we don't even need this sentence per WP:NOTCOOKBOOK.) The hook fact in the article is not encyclopedically phrased. (This moment was particularly emotional for the astronauts—the crew put aside their duties and briefly gathered, about 30 seconds, to share maple cookies, marking this " surreal moment.")
  • The article has multiple paragraphs missing citations and these need to be addressed before approval. (The sources in the article do appear to be reliable.)
  • Is this cookie really most famous for being sent into space? That accounts for about half the body text. I am not sure, but this might be imbalanced if there is more non-space content out there on this cookie.
  • Photo is not approved for use; not only is it not in the article, but it would be a WP:DYKDIVERT failure. If you'd like me to assess another photo, please add it to the nom.

Imbalance

Hi Thepharoah17, so nice you’ve translated my article, appreciate that. Will be cool to see it on a main Wiki-page :) It may look quite imbalanced because 1. I’m kind of space fan 2. couldn’t find any info about commercial “supermarket” cookies (may be should try harder). I'm not a prolific user, but trying to create content that don't exist in the English Wiki. same time too lazy myself to translate :) Rise is my very favourite ! Re: SFBA

We used to buy these in San Francisco Bay Area bakeries from the 1970s to the 1980s, but I haven't seen them in a long time. Was this because Canadians owned the bakeries? Viriditas (talk) 00:35, 28 August 2026 (UTC)

Short lead

@Thepharoah17 and Noleander: Is there any way the lead of the article can be expanded? It's particularly short for a Good Article, and leaves out a fair amount of interesting and notable details from the body. Specifically adding any information from the History, "Obama cookie", and "In space" sections I think would greatly improve the leads coverage of the article as a whole. Cheers!
