Thank you for the notice. I want to be transparent about my connection to this article and work within Wikipedia's guidelines.

I am a member/supporter of the Macleod Football Club and have a personal connection to the club. I acknowledge this constitutes a conflict of interest under Wikipedia's policies and I am not seeking to edit the article directly. Instead, I am disclosing my COI here and requesting that independent editors review the proposed additions.

I want to be clear that my intention is not promotional. The club currently has a very incomplete Wikipedia article, and I believe it meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines on the following grounds:

The club has competed in senior Australian rules football since 1947
It has won multiple premierships in the Northern Football Netball League and its predecessor competitions
It has produced multiple AFL-listed players through its junior club
It has received coverage in reliable independent sources including the Herald Sun

Sources used

All factual claims in the proposed article are sourced to independently verifiable references, including:

Northern Football Netball League official website (nfnl.org.au) — for finals results, premierships, best & fairest and award records
Footypedia (footypedia.info) — an independent historical football records database
Herald Sun — for the club games record
Macleod FC website and Instagram — used only for club-specific administrative details (current coach, captain, president) where no independent source exists

What I am requesting

I would welcome an independent editor reviewing the proposed article text and either approving it, amending it, or advising which specific claims require stronger sourcing. I am happy to provide any additional sources or remove any content that does not meet Wikipedia's verifiability standards.

I have not received any compensation for these contributions and am acting purely as a volunteer with an interest in local football history.
