The content of List of places with "Silicon" names was merged into List of technology centers on 6 March 2017. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. Proposed merge with List of research parks

The List of research parks covers many of the same places as this list, and there seems to be a lot of overlap between the vaguely defined terms "research park" and "technology center" to the point that they can just be two names for the same thing. This article has a little more substance and can serve as the target. RyanAl6 (talk) 00:11, 10 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Oppose: "Technology center" seems to be for Silicon Valley-like places; areas where there is a high concentration of computing-related companies, whereas "research parks" seem to be smaller, more centralized locations and there may be focus more on non-computer related subjects like biology.
