Gulmurod Khalimov

If he was in the military in Tajikistan and then defected to ISIS, how would that make him a mercenary and not an ordinary defector? Salmon Of Ignorance (talk) 10:45, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

This seems to make sense. There is nothing in the Gulmurod Khalimov article to suggest he was a mercenary in the accepted sense - the only mention of it in his article is a comment: Acting for mercenary means, he joined the international terrorist organization calling itself Islamic State which suggests his motivation to join ISIS was for personal reasons rather than he became a soldier for hire. And that statement appears to come from Tajikstan's Prosecutor-General's Office, so some what official but seems more like an attack. Thanks for removing him. Salmon Of Ignorance (talk) 12:32, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
