Permission for Episode Descriptions

Happy to see that this page has been created. My previous attempt to create this page in my own sandbox was nominated for speedy deletion for using episode descriptions from TheTVDB. Has any attempt been made to obtain permission to use the episode descriptions? wneo (talk) 06:35, 11 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

TheTVDB seems to be closely paraphrasing or outright copying the descriptions from the official Internet Archive uploads, so you would need to seek permission from... Stewart Cheifet, I guess?

I started writing episode descriptions from scratch years ago but gave up on the prospect because it's incredibly tedious. If anyone here has the free time and wants to take a stab at it, then godspeed. The descriptions should include, at the very least, the theme of the episode, the products demonstrated, and the people interviewed. This would make the list very useful to me and anyone else trying to research old tech. DigitalIceAge (talk) 04:42, 14 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
