Crime statistics
[edit]Is it common for a city's crime statistics to be listed in an article about it's police department? Dahmer's Refrigerator (talk) 01:03, 10 May 2018 (UTC)
- Good point. According to Sir Robert Peel, one function of the Police is to prevent crime; while Police may compile crime statistics, they are not be responsible for the crime that they record. Surely crime statistics should be placed in the article about Kent, Washington, under its own heading - Crime. The article about the police department probably needs to be linked from the section about the city government, where it is mentioned. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 00:55, 9 August 2025 (UTC)
