Proposed update: Ocean Discovery League / DORIS
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello,
I am proposing an update to the “Research and career” section related to the latest Katy Croff Bell’s work at the Ocean Discovery League (as the last paragraph of the article). As I have a conflict of interest, I am requesting review by an independent editor rather than making the edit directly.
In 2021, Bell founded the nonprofit Ocean Discovery League, which focuses on expanding access to deep-sea exploration through the development of low-cost technologies. One such effort was the Deep Ocean Research and Imaging System (DORIS), a compact deep-submergence vehicle developed in partnership with Blue Robotics and funded by the [[National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration]].<ref name="NatGeo-DeepSea-2025">{{cite magazine
