Suggested text:
“In a model with finitely many alternatives and approval voting, Karge et al. allow heterogeneous voter competences together with dependence induced by an opinion leader. Subject to an upper bound on the leader’s influence, the probability that the correct alternative wins converges to one as the number of voters grows. They also derive bounds on the group size required to attain a specified success probability.”

Requested change: Add the following sentence at the end of Section 3.3, “Effect of an opinion leader”:
“More recently, Karge et al. proved Crowd Infallibility for an opinion-leader model with finitely many alternatives, approval voting, and heterogeneous voter competences, provided that the leader’s influence is bounded; they also bound the number of voters needed to attain a prescribed success probability.”[1]
Pinpoint verification:
- The heterogeneous group-reliability assumption is given in Definition 2 on p. 985.
- The asymptotic result, including the restriction on the opinion leader’s influence, is Theorem 2 on p. 986.
- The finite group-size bounds are stated in Theorem 3 on p. 986.
