• I have a feeling that more information could be included on the campaign in general; and it's possible those newspapers may contain more information that can be used here to provide context. It's very possible we may be missing coverage, although I say this as someone who doesn't speak fluent German (the language the newspapers are written in).

Not really, the point between the dissolution of the Landtag and the election is less than a month, and party newspapers were only published twice a week at this time. Its also really hard to get verifiable information for a campaign without an independent source as they were also very partisan at this time. TheBritinator (talk) 15:10, 31 July 2026 (UTC)

Overall: On nom day, the February 1953 page was expanded from 675 B to 4057 B and the June 1953 one promoted to GA. Overlapping content amounts to 1252 B (which I ran on the sandbox), and minusing down to 2825 B, we need to add at least 550 B or, considering it's a GA nom, wait for a GA reviewer (can't review it myself per WP:DYKRR). For the record, this is the overlapped content:

• The coalition government under the leadership of Alexander Frick remained.
• Frick's second term oversaw continued steps towards reforming Liechtenstein into a modern welfare state. Notably, in 1952 the old age and survivors' insurance (AHV) office in Liechtenstein, a mandatory life insurance scheme, was established after a successful referendum despite opposition from peasant workers.
• Political parties must have the support of 30 voters from a constituency to be eligible to nominate a candidate list in it.
• The 15 members of the Landtag were elected by open list proportional representation from two constituencies, Oberland with 9 seats and Unterland with 6 seats. Voters vote for a party list and then may strike through candidates for whom they do not wish to cast a preferential vote, and may add names of candidates from other lists. The electoral threshold to win a seat is 18%. Once formed, the Landtag elects the prime minister and two government councillors who govern in a cabinet. Only men aged 21 and above were eligible to vote.
• Both the FBP and VU campaigned on their respective party newspapers, the Liechtensteiner Volksblatt and Liechtensteiner Vaterland (maybe since they have different sources, but I'll apply this in case)
• Following the elections, the coalition government under Alexander Frick remained.

@Miraclepine: I see. I can wait for a GA review (maybe a few days if I go to GARC), but I should note that these are two elections held months apart, obviously there is going to be overlap in stuff like electoral systems. TheBritinator (talk) 19:54, 8 August 2026 (UTC)
