Filmography corrections and COI edit request
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
I am the subject of this article and am disclosing a conflict of interest per Wikipedia's COI guidelines. I am submitting these corrections and additions transparently via the Talk page for review by an uninvolved editor.
Add Lead Me Home to Directed Features
[edit]Currently missing from the Directed Features list despite being mentioned in the intro. Please add: Lead Me Home (2021, co-directed with Pedro Kos)
Correct The White House Effect

The film was co-directed by Bonni Cohen, Pedro Kos, and Jon Shenk. Please remove from Cinematographer Credits and add to Directed Features: The White House Effect (2024, co-directed with Bonni Cohen and Pedro Kos), premiered Telluride Film Festival 2024
Add In Waves and War to Directed Features, Producing Credits, and Cinematographer Credits

6. Request removal of maintenance tags
[edit]The {{BLP sources}} tag was added in August 2021. Since then, numerous citations have been added throughout the Career and Awards sections. I believe the sourcing is now sufficient to remove this tag. The {{COI}} tag was added in September 2021. This edit request is being made transparently via the Talk page per Wikipedia's COI guidelines. I would ask that an uninvolved editor review and, if the proposed changes are accepted, assess whether the COI tag is still warranted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Guzmantostada (talk • contribs)
Comment: @Guzmantostada: Please provide references as usable citations, rather than raw urls. It would also be very helpful if you put the citations into the numbered edit requests, rather than as a single paragraph string of notes/urls. Please remember that we are all volunteers and this lengthy request may take some time to be addressed. — ERcheck (talk) 23:37, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
| The user below has a request that an edit be made to Jon Shenk. That user has an actual or apparent conflict of interest. The requested edits backlog is very high. Please be extremely patient. There are currently 660 requests waiting for review. Please read the instructions for the parameters used by this template for accepting and declining them, and review the request below and make the edit if it is well sourced, neutral, and follows other Wikipedia guidelines and policies. |
Following up on the feedback above — I've reformatted the request with inline citations attached to each numbered item and added wikilinks for every film and award. Per Spintendo's note, I'll raise the {{BLP sources}} tag separately with the editor who placed it rather than requesting removal here. Thank you both. Guzmantostada (talk) 01:14, 12 August 2026 (UTC)

6. Regarding the maintenance tags
[edit]Per Spintendo's suggestion, I will contact the editor who placed the {{BLP sources}} tag on their own talk page and direct them back to this discussion, rather than requesting its removal here.

- In reviewing this, I'll say that anything which may be added to the article ought to be independently notable. To that end, please add the H:WIKILINKS of any film asking to be added to the article (this includes the WikiLinks for any awards requested to be added). As far as
{{BLP sources}}, it is recommended that, as a courtesy, you first try asking the editor who assigned the template in order to find out from them if it can be removed. Since they placed the template, they are in the best position to know whether or not the issues which caused its placement have been corrected. Since they are likely not privy to this particular edit request, you can contact them directly by placing a new message on their own talk page, and then, perhaps, redirecting them back to this discussion. When ready to proceed with the requested information, kindly change the{{Edit COI}}template's answer parameter to read from|ans=yto|ans=n. Thank you! Regards, Spintendo 00:05, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
