Moscow, Alabama
[edit]The Moscow, Alabama to which the Holladays moved is the one in present-day Lamar County, not the one in Marengo County. The original article listed it as Marion County (at the time, Lamar County had not yet been created). The Marengo County information was introduced by another editor in 2014, apparently in good faith because at that time Wikipedia did not yet have an article on the Moscow in Lamar County. Circumstantially, the fact that the Holladay family was converted by missionaries in Marion County, and the location is very close to Mormon Springs, Mississippi, the origin of their emigration party just across the border, also supports the identification of the appropriate Moscow. --Michael Snow (talk) 09:42, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
