On July 12, 2022 Justice Warren Milman of the BC Supreme core dismissed a defamation launched by Jessica Simpson against Rebel News Network Ltd. Simpson launched the case in April 2021 and sought damages and relief from statements allegedly made by Rebel News which damaged her reputation and vilified her as a person. Justice Milman cited Simpsons tendency to engage in a public area as well as her extensive history of using legal processes or threats of legal action to silence criticism against her as being problematic, and while clouded at times the coverage by Rebel news was in fact in the interest of the public. The claims made by Simpson were weak,

It appears that Ms. Yaniv is a vexatious litigant with strong racist and anti-immigration ideology who uses her gender to "target small businesses for personal financial gain", and to "punish immigrant women" within certain ethnic groups who she perceives as "taking over" according to a Vancouver Sun article which also includes her complaint. I think that someone who is more informed than I am should review this entry for possible rewrites to ensure that the guidelines that makes her notable are factual and prominent in addition to preserving the underlying societal issues that transgender persons face.--Asr1014 (talk) 01:53, 18 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
'trans activist' is unsourced here, except to Yaniv's own claims. Nor has any example been shown of them performing any activism in this direction, other than for their own personal gain or foibles. Per WP:BLP it just shouldn't be here. Andy Dingley (talk) 18:55, 31 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
