Death date is wrong
[edit]The book Amritsar: The Massacre that Ended the Raj was first published in London in 1981. The British Library holds a copy with J A Scott's annotations (ref. Mss Eur A181), therefore he can't have died in 1952.
He died on the 20th of January 1983. The announcement of his death was published in the Scotsman Newspaper of Saturday 22 January 1983 (British Newspaper Archive) GalVorbak (talk) 17:05, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
