Cross words together

[edit]

Wasn't she a part of this film as well? It's not mentioned here. ~2026-34132-54 (talk) 04:21, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Change “Obsession 2025” to “Obsession 2026” ~2026-34082-11 (talk) 17:22, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

The film premiered in 2025 though? Assaultim (talk) 17:43, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

Change "her breakout performance as Nikki Freeman in the 2025 horror film Obsession" to "her breakout performance as Nikki Freeman in the horror film Obsession (released May 15, 2026)".

Reason: While the film premiered at TIFF in September 2025, its wide theatrical release was May 15, 2026. Describing it as "the 2025 horror film" is misleading to general readers. The film's own Wikipedia article confirms the 2026 US release date. Khutwadyogesh34 (talk) 10:56, 11 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

In accordance with MOS:FILMYEAR, the premiere date is used for films as its release date. Assaultim (talk) 13:31, 11 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Bisexual

[edit]

@~2026-32106-07: In this interview, Navarrette is quoted as saying "Being bisexual, I understand how much you could definitely keep it to yourself because it's such a sticky subject. With my family being exposed to it earlier on with my cousin coming out, it wasn't that big of a deal." Therefore, it is not speculation to say so in the article. Phonic last name incorrect

[edit]

The phonetic version of her last name is incorrect. It's nah-vah-REH-teh as she is from Mexican descent and it is a Spanish last name. Honeyfresh45 (talk) 17:44, 25 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

"Australian" as an ethnicity

[edit]

Australian isn't an ethnicity Its a nationality, so the wording of "Australian descent" doesn't really make sense. Better phrasing could be something around her having Australian family. Textbookviolence (talk) 11:16, 26 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Sexuality

[edit]

With many attempts, from a recent source, Navarrette is confirmed to be queer (not bisexual or lesbian, just queer) from the Queerty magazine, as it's said in the title "Obsession’s queer stars unpack horror, toxic love & the grossest thing that happened on set", that she's a queer star, and this is an interview from her and Johnston, and the magazine only covers LGBTQ people, entertainment and news. MoviesandTelevisionFan (talk) 19:22, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Also Johnston is not preferred as gay, only queer in the source. He have played a character whose gay in a television program, according to the source, but the actor himself wasn't considered gay, only the character he played in a television program was. Both Johnston and Navarrette were defined as queer in the interview source, and were covered in the magazine because they're LGBTQ and are queers, according to the source. The magazine only covers LGBTQ people, issues and news. MoviesandTelevisionFan (talk) 21:42, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Someone can deal with the user, they keep claiming random stuff to how the headline is misleading and that it violates WP:BLP, and not reading the news source correctly, and saying how her being "queer" or "bisexual" shouldn't be added even when it's sourced, and even when a conversation about her sexuality had started a while ago, it was removed by the same user. MoviesandTelevisionFan (talk) 05:44, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Any user can feel free to restore that sourced stuff but just know that it will get removed by the same user. MoviesandTelevisionFan (talk) 06:00, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I agree with you. The constant reverting is ridiculous. The interview where Inde refers to herself as bisexual is just 6 years old. Does she need to come out every 2 or 5 years?
The Queerty source does actually also say that Inde and Michael are both out actors in the text, meaning they're not straight. Knowing that it's an interview, Inde and her team could have very easily asked Queerty to change it if they were bothered. Handsome Ellis (talk) 20:50, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
