The photo on the right should be added to the BHR Partners section. It has also been reviewed by the Washington Examiner.

• Why it should be changed:

It has been reported by CNN, a reliable source and three no consensus sources (Newsweek, The Free Press, and the Washington Examiner). While I don't think the no consensus sources should be included in the citation, I think they help establish the notability of the set of photographs. CNN uses the referenced photograph as its first image.

The image ("M1X219_7757_9.JPG") seems to originate from the White House Photograph Office 2013-2014 from NARA's records. More specifically, the records were found in the Vice Presidential images collection from the White House Photo Office. Per the finding aid, the 2012-2017 photographs were taken by White House photographer David Lienemann. Hence, I am fairly certain it is public domain, can be uploaded to Commons, and included here.

Change/add that Joe Biden was referred to as "the Senator from MBNA" (a bank) because MBNA hired his son and then Joe Biden turned around and supported bankruptcy legislation that MBNA wanted for its business. This is included in the entry for MBNA under "Controversies", and I was going to copy over the sentences almost word for word, along with the three links.

The paragraph under Wikipedia's MBNA under "Controversies" entry reads as follows:

"MBNA hired Hunter Biden (then 26 years old and a recent law school graduate) during the years when his father, then-Senator Joe Biden, was pushing for bankruptcy reform legislation supported by the company, which became law and makes it more difficult to acquire bankruptcy protection. Because of the close relationship between Biden and MBNA, Byron York called Biden the "Senator from MBNA" in a 1998 article for conservative magazine The American Spectator." Did you even read the quote? The "close relationship" between Joe Biden and MBNA (one of the largest credit card issuers at the time) was Hunter Biden himself. No bank hires somebody (Hunter Biden) right out of university as a "consultant". Hunter Biden had/has zero banking experience. It was said to be a bribe - maybe you don't understand that. It was said that MBNA channeled money to Hunter Biden to hide a bribe to Joe Biden himself. You probably don't know this, but Hunter Biden has been accused of the exact same thing when it comes to Burisma paying him over $10 million. Like with MBNA, Hunter Biden has no experience in the Ukrainian natural gas industry. But it sounds like you are political and support Joe Biden, so you don't want this mentioned. I am not in the United States and am not even an American. Your political bias is pretty evident. Again, Hunter Biden was the conduit between MBNA and Joe Biden so this should be mentioned. Maybe you should go delete it from being mentioned in Joe Biden's Wikipedia entry if you really believe what you have written. Betathetapi454 (talk) 14:16, 19 November 2025 (UTC)

This existing article covers covers his prior stint in 1998 before the bankruptcy legislation proposal, then the second half of the second paragraph reads "... In 2001, he was also rehired by MBNA as a consultant, where he was paid a yearly $100,000 retainer until 2005. MBNA's rehiring of Biden was controversial because his father was pushing for passage of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act, which was beneficial to the credit card industry and supported by MBNA during Biden's time at the bank. The legislation made it more difficult to get bankruptcy protection."

As far as I can tell, your proposal has less detail about the actual unethical behavior that is already in the article, with its only substantive addition being that someone once called his father a juvenile nickname. The purpose of this page is to improve this article about Hunter Biden, your proposal doesn't do that. --Noren (talk) 20:27, 19 November 2025 (UTC)

Navy Joan Roberts

There is hidden text in the article saying that a consensus was reached two and a half years ago that Biden's daughter, Navy Joan Roberts, should not be named in the article. Since conesensus can change, it may be worth revisiting this consensus. Navy Joan is already mentioned in two Wikipedia articles, Family of Joe Biden and List of children of presidents of the United States, so it seems pointless not to name her in this article.

Not naming her also looks odd given that Biden's four other children are named (one of whom is younger than Navy Joan). Green Montanan (talk) 19:41, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
