Notability
[edit]I'd like to address the notability tag:
- I do not believe the article has any original research. All the information are sourced externally.
- The sources are largely reliable independent sources. The newspaper and journal sources are derived by reputable publications such as the SF Chronicle, the Wall Street Journal, and Architectural Digest. The monograph book was written by an external source though I'm unsure if the architect was involved (the author probably interviewed Backen, but I'm unaware of any "official" connection).
- As stated in the WP:Notability guidelines, sources not (yet) referenced in the article still contribute to notability guidelines. These sources include publications from the Napa Valley Register, Forbes Magazine, and the Huffington Post. This does not include mentions from numerous other sources in related articles.
Certainly the list of publications pale in comparison to say, Frank Lloyd Wright, but going down the list in WP's architects category, this article surely has greater notability than many on the list. Please advise. Thanks. Cluskillz (talk) 19:53, 8 October 2016 (UTC)
Marital status
[edit]The article was recently changed to show Lori as his ex-wife and his current wife as Ann. I couldn't find any public sources to confirm this. Currently the line saying "ex-wife" is referenced to an earlier article where she was still his wife. I don't doubt that the new information is likely true, but we need some kind of confirmation from the public record that we can source. --MelanieN (talk) 17:12, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

Alternating tense, failure to maintain neutral POV
[edit]Subject is dead but body of article is written in the present tense. Flagrant disregard for neutrality throughout. Ekgrey (talk) 07:45, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
