A Page for Kevin McCallister?

[edit]

I think Kevin McCallister has enough information to fill a page. MrCboY1997 (talk) 14:36, 18 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Although this thread is over two years old, I would like to note that character articles are usually reserved for characters who appear in multiple movies/media and the notability guidelines also apply here. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 22:15, 3 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

“Suburban Chicago home”

[edit]

Initial paragraph should be revised to simply say “Chicago home.” While the movie was shot in the suburbs, the involvement of the Chicago Police Department at various points of the movie indicate that the McCallisters’ home must be in Chicago proper. 2601:246:4801:36D0:ED01:69BD:2288:BE15 (talk) 04:33, 1 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Do you have a reliable source for this? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 20:40, 3 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
This article's own plot page says it takes place in Winnetka, which is a Chicago suburb ParalysisDemon (talk) 18:30, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Change "leave" to "leaves" The noun is singular, even if it represents something plural. JosieKirkland (talk) 23:24, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

 Undone: This request has been undone. Per MOS:SINGULAR, American English articles (which this one is written in) almost invariably use singular words to refer to collective nouns, with some exceptions. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 23:44, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
@UmbyUmbreon, isn't that what the changed wording does? "leaves" treats the word "family" as a singular (as in "the man leaves the house") but "leave" treats it as a plural (as in "the men leave the house"). Chess enjoyer (talk) 23:55, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Chess enjoyer Yep, you're totally right. Sorry! I need more coffee. Re-done. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 23:58, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
