Prohibition of trade in Babylon
[edit]The claim in the article that trade outside of the city was prohibited in Babylon before the reign of Sargon of Akkad cannot possibly be correct. Numerous sources describe extensive external trade in that period. I don't have access to the sources in the references, which in any case are improper as they lack page references, but they must have to do with regulation rather than prohibition.Bill (talk) 19:41, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
